Many of our loafers are designed to accommodate narrow feet, meaning you don't have to compromise on style to be comfortable. All our loafers come with our Fit Kit, which includes alternate footbeds and inserts to customise the fit, when the standard fit is a little roomie.
It is important to remember that loafers are a style without fasteners, this means there are no laces/buckles etc. making them a less adjustable style. With a loafer, it either fits you, or it doesn't. Don't be disheartened if your favourite loafer isn't right for you, there is likely another that will be. It's good to note that a little foot movement in loafers is normal. A great way to check weather a loafer is the right fit is to have a think about whether you are clawing your toes to keep the shoes on your feet. If you are, they aren't the right fit and you may need to size down or choose a different style.
Foot and shoe width takes into consideration; foot depth, the measurement across your big toe joint, toe height etc. Measuring feet is not an exact science and often, it is simply best to try a style to see how it works for you. We don't work to specific width measurement guidelines (AA - D), however the additional fit items and styles we offer will allow you to create a fit that suits you. We can always send you some additional styles with your order, so that you can try a couple of styles for comparison.
A number of our customers ask us whether we have loafers suitable for feet with bunions and we are happy to say that we do. When choosing a style that will accomodate bunions, it is a good idea to opt for softer leather or suede styles. We have a variety of styles that will accomodate.
How to create a snug fit, using our Fit Kit.
- Shoes feel too spacious or roomie? Remove our standard footbed, put forefoot inserts from the fit kit into the toe area of your loafers (coloured side down), put your footbed back in on top. This will create a more snug fit while anchoring you into the heel to keep you securely placed in the shoes.
