True Fit is a smart sizing tool designed to help you find your ideal Bared size. By drawing on millions of data points from global brands and real shoppers, it creates a personalised recommendation based on your fit preferences and the shoes you already know and love. Once you’ve found your ideal base size, you can fine-tune your fit even further with our fitting accessories and fit kit (where included). How does True Fit work?
True Fit combines information from hundreds of global brands, past purchases, and product fit data to recommend the best size for you. It even considers how specific styles or materials fit—so your recommendation is tailored just for you, not just based on averages.
Does True Fit use customer reviews to make recommendations?
Not yet! At the moment, True Fit uses data from purchases and returns to understand how items fit. It can tell, for example, if a shoe runs large because most people size down. But they’re working on including customer reviews in the future for even better recommendations.
Can True Fit tell the difference between items within the same brand?
Yes! True Fit recognises that not all items from a single brand fit the same. It picks up on the little differences—like if one colour runs smaller or a certain style fits differently—and adjusts its recommendations accordingly.
How do I set up my True Fit profile?
It’s easy! Just follow these steps:
- On any product page, click “What’s My Size?”
- Select a brand and style you already wear and love.
- Choose the size you wear in that item.
- View your size recommendation for the Bared product you’re looking at.
You only need to do this once per category (e.g. shoes), and from then on, your size will be recommended automatically whenever you shop with us. You have the option to save your profile for use across other retailer sites that use True Fit.
How do I update or change my profile?
Click on the profile icon at the top of the page while shopping. You can:
- Edit your details.
- Change or add shoe brands you wear and own.
- Delete your profile if you’d like to start fresh.
Adding more info about the items you wear helps True Fit understand your unique fit even better.
True Fit gave me the wrong size. What should I do?
Oh no! First, double-check your profile details—sometimes a small error can affect the result. If everything looks right and the size still seems off, we’re here to help. Please:
- Save your profile
- Note the style you were shopping for
- Include your favourite brand and size, and how the fit compares to what you expected
Then email this info to info@bared.com.au, and we will look into it. Sometimes, past purchases or other inputs can affect the recommendation.
Why isn’t True Fit showing up on all product pages?
We are currently trialling True Fit as a complementary solution to our existing size and fit guidance on site. Given this, we have launched this on a selection of products so we can assess whether it’s given you the support required.
