The arch support in our footbeds is designed to sit just in front of the heel, supporting the area between your heel and arch. It acts as a stabilising prop to support the foot’s natural movement - rather than pressing directly into the highest part of your arch.
This design helps guide your foot into healthy alignment from the ground up. When you walk, your heel strikes the ground first. If it rolls inward too much, it can throw off the alignment of your entire foot (and even affect your knees and hips). By stabilising the heel first, our footbeds help support the mid-foot and arch without overloading them.
Most people benefit from this type of support, though those with high, rigid arches (which don’t absorb impact as easily) may need a slightly different style of cushioning or support.
It’s also normal for the support to feel a little different at first! With consistent wear, the footbed softens and moulds slightly to your feet, providing lasting comfort and alignment. 🧡
